October 18th Program Stephen Furrer, our interim minister, spoke on “How I Learned To Be a Minister.” Steve says, “While I learned a great deal from my Intern Supervisor, Dave Rankin, and also a lot from my seminary professors and from my colleagues over the years, my best teachers in liberal ministry have been my congregants. Today’s presentation includes several brief descriptions of a selection of stalwart Unitarian Universalists that I’ve been lucky enough to serve over the years and who taught me 80% of what I know about churches, ministry, and pastoral care.” |
